CARBONLESS PAPER(NCR)

Carbonless paper, also known as NCR (No Carbon Required) paper, is a specialty paper that allows for duplicate or triplicate copies without the need for carbon paper. Here’s a breakdown of its key aspects:

How It Works

  • Coated Layers: The paper is chemically coated on the back (CB - Coated Back) of the top sheet and the front (CF - Coated Front) of the bottom sheet.

  • Middle Sheets (CFB): For multi-part forms, intermediate sheets are coated on both sides (CFB - Coated Front and Back).

  • Pressure Transfer: When written or printed on, the pressure causes a chemical reaction, transferring the image to the sheets below.
